Ethan realizes he must sound like a mad man talking to himself. It is raining and the thunder brings him back to reality. He clutches his coat to save some heat that is left in his body. The cold is starting to get to him. He is soaked from head to toe from having no shelter to go to except this bus stop. He plans on taking the bus wherever it is going. The cold I felt inside held its ground With no sign of surrender to be found The days were long, the days were dark Forever frozen was my heart Until I saw him and he warmed me to the core No longer numb, I could feel once more The darkness in his eyes called to me The fire in his soul set me free With a touch of his lips the ice broke away And the longing set in for him to stay Though now it's warm and cozy inside The cold lingers awaiting his goodbye Copyright MJ Boshers 2018
