The Cold

The cold I felt inside held its ground
With no sign of surrender to be found
The days were long, the days were dark
Forever frozen was my heart
Until I saw him and he warmed me to the core
No longer numb, I could feel once more
The darkness in his eyes called to me
The fire in his soul set me free
With a touch of his lips the ice broke away
And the longing set in for him to stay
Though now it's warm and cozy inside
The cold lingers awaiting his goodbye

This song is about being brave, and learning that no matter who tries to bring you down you should always stand tall. A person should ever let anyone negative stop them from pursuing a dream.
